Writing can be a rollercoaster. Some days the words are flowing and you are completely in the zone. Other days it is the opposite. Your book is floundering, your will to write has vanished and your willpower appears to have packed up and left town. It happens to every writer at some point. Some days you just don’t feel like writing.

When you feel like that it can help to look to other authors for inspiration. There are loads of tips and tricks to get moving again but sometimes all you need is some well-selected words. I personally love a motivational quote and enjoy picking them out of our author interviews. Often it’s all you need to feel uplifted and inspired. With that said, here are 17 of my favorite quotes to help you shake off the writer’s block and get back in the creative zone.
